Candle Tips

 

If a dinner candle does not fit snugly into your candle holder, wrap a piece of tin foil around the base before putting it into the candle holder.

If a candle is burning unevenly, it maybe in a draft, rotate the candle periodically or move out of the draft.

 

To remove Wax from clothing, let the wax harden and remove as much as possible, pour boiling water through any remaining wax and repeat until all wax is removed. 

 

To remove wax from carpets, let the wax harden and remove as much as possible. Place a paper towel on the wax and iron with a hot iron that has been covered in tin foil.

 

To remove wax from a solid surface such as wood, furniture or counters. Allow the wax to harden and gently remove. Do not try to rub off when liquid as it will leave a thin film and this will be more difficult to remove.

 

Safety Warning

Always burn candles on a heat-resistant flat surface.
Do not burn candle in a draft.
Ideal wick length is 10-15mm, a longer wick will produce smoke.
Keep lit candles at least 10cm apart.
Once lit do not move candle until cooled completely.
Keep candle free of wick clippings, matches and other flammable items.
Keep away from children and pets.
Candles should be kept cool, dry and dust free.
